Leigh Jordan – Bridal Hairdresser of The Year 2019

With over sixteen years of experience and hundreds of happy brides under her belt, Leigh Jordan is setting the bar for bridal hair excellence.

Her passion for perfection has seen her beat off stiff competition this year to be crowned Northwest Bridal Hairdresser of The Year and her creative approach to bridal hair design means she is one of the most sought after stylists in the region.

Leigh absolutely loves being part of a bride’s big day. ‘It’s just the biggest privilege ever,’ said Leigh. ‘After 16 years’ hairdressing, I knew I had to follow my heart and do what I really loved. Helping brides be their most beautiful self was definitely the way I wanted to go.’

‘Planning a wedding and the day itself can be so stressful, so developing a great relationship with my brides is so important to me. I think knowing they have a real connection with their hairdresser can really help calm their nerves and make getting ready a lot more fun.’

With her outstanding reputation for excellence Leigh can tame even the most troublesome tresses so you can rely on her 100% to deliver your dream look.

From the moment brides first meet Leigh at their initial consultation and beyond, she goes out of her way to make sure they enjoy every second of the experience. Whether you choose to get ready away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations at the idyllic countryside salon (Leigh has a base at the magical and highly acclaimed Deborah Alfa Salon in Brimstage) or you would prefer her to come to you she will make sure you have a five-star experience.

From full on glamorous waves to wistful boho braids and elegant up do’s, Leigh’s creativity and talent will help you look every bit the super-star bride from the moment you step foot down the aisle to your very last dance.

Leigh’s Top Tips

Practice Makes Perfect

I make sure all my brides have a full trial and try out at least a couple of looks. What you think you want might not be what you end up with so remember to keep an open mind!

Choose Your Dress First

The cut and style of your dress can really influence what will look best hair wise. If you have a backless dress for example, it may be sensible to go with an up-do. The overall look of your dress should determine how formal or relaxed your hair is.

Find Your Inspiration

Gather a few looks from magazines and online that you love. Find styles you are drawn to then create a mood board for your ideal looks. Pintrest is great for this.

Choose Your Hair Accessories

Ideally you would have chosen your hair accessories before your trial. This is especially important if you choose to wear a veil as your hair style will need to incorporate your chosen veil.

Look After Your Hair

Don’t over treat your hair in the run up to the big day and treat yourself to some great shampoo that doesn’t contain parabens. Come to the trial with clean, natural hair that hasn’t been straightened or curled.
